Since I got some very clear indication last time that people actually do bother to check my blog, it's about time I write some more ;)
Alot has happened in the month since my last post, my excuse this time is that I've had my finals and have also been acting in / making special effects for "Kill the Last Geisha", a horribly bad little film (was supposed to be a parody of Kill Bill and The Last Samurai, but didn't quite end up that way) we've been shooting at the kaikan (premiere is tomorrow at five in the main lobby). The production took place in the middle of the exam frenzy and had to be finished in about two weeks, so we have plenty of excuses for the quality. In any case, it was an awful lot of fun :). Now I just have to finish the credits and my part in it will be done... but first Mitsu will have to give me list of the people who're supposed to go in there. Most of it is done though, it'll be a nice little gears and sakura petals animation. Here's a render:
I also made an opening animation for it, as well as a fireball and an explosion. Not enough to make up for my bad acting though ;)
I had my final exam for Japanese 1 this morning, and after we're finished with today's experiments here in the lab (I'm waiting for the filter to get rid of the water vapour and CO2 in the experiment chamber) I'll be on spring break and probably won't be writing again for awhile.
In a couple of weeks I'll be going down to Okinawa with some friends, fly down and take the boat and local trains back up again, seeing a good portion of Japan in the process. And a week after that dad'll be coming to Japan for a meeting and has managed to stay a few days extra, so I'll get to meet him :). Other than that I don't have very much planned. I'll have to work some on my web design skills and try to update the company website which I've been neglecting horribly.
Oh, and I'm planning to get a mobile internet connection for my computer (I'll have to check that I can connect it first) so that I'll get some net access in my room finally. The Japanese mobile phone network is good for something after all. It's a bit on the expensive side for a really slow connection, but I'm only here for six more months.
Well, that's all for now.
